  • 100 ml cup warm water
  • Ā¼ cup warm milk (optional)

Ingredients

  • 25g (1/4 cup) FUTURELIFEĀ® HIGH PROTEIN Smart foodā„¢ chocolate flavour
  • Ā¾ cup warm low fat milk
  • Ā½ cup boiled water
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa

FUTURELIFEĀ® Smart Breadā„¢ pudding with spinach and mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 4 slices FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart Breadā„¢
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups low-fat milk
  • Ā½ cup gruyĆØre cheese, grated
  • Ā¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 bunch spinach, stemmed and washed thoroughly in two changes of water (more if necessary)
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 ā€“ 2 garlic cloves (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 eggs
  • Spray’n Cook

Method

  1. Bring a medium or large pot of water to boil, salt generously and add the spinach.
  2. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, until tender but still colourful.
  3. Transfer to a bowl of cold water, then drain and squeeze out excess water. Chop coarsely and set aside.
  4. If using garlic, cut one of the garlic cloves in half and rub the slices of FUTURELIFEĀ®Smart Breadā„¢with the cut side. Then mince all the garlic. Cut the FUTURELIFEĀ®Smart Breadā„¢Ā into 2cm squares.
  5. Heat the oil over medium-high heat in a heavy, wide skillet and add the mushrooms. Cook, stirring often, until they begin to soften, and add the thyme, garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook for another minute or two, until the mushrooms are tender and fragrant. Stir in the spinach, toss together and remove from the heat.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180Ā°C. Spray’n Cook a large oven-proof dish, soufflĆ© dish or gratin. In a large bowl, combine the FUTURELIFEĀ®Smart Breadā„¢Ā cubes, the mushrooms and spinach, and the two cheeses and toss together. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
  7. Beat together the eggs and milk. Add salt to taste and a few twists of the pepper mill, and pour over the FUTURELIFEĀ®Smart Breadā„¢ Let sit for 5 to 10 minutes before baking so that the FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart Breadā„¢Ā can absorb some of the liquid.
  8. Place in the oven and bake 40 to 50 minutes, until puffed and browned. Remove from the oven and serve hot or warm.

Ingredients

  • 1 small frozen banana
  • 2 Tbsp. cacao powder
  • Ā½ cup milk or dairy alternative such as soy / almond milk
  • Ā½ cup of water
  • 2 Tbsp. chia seed
  • Ā¼ – Ā½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 25 g FUTURELIFEĀ® Smart foodā„¢ Original or Chocolate
  • Few blocks of ice (optional)

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth.
  2. Adjust sweetness by adding xylitol, stevia or another artificial sweetener to taste.

FUTURELIFEĀ® Smart OatsĀ® open ham and cottage cheese scones

Ingredients

  • 1 Ā¾ cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup Original FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart OatsĀ®
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 180 ml low fat milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 100 gram chopped ham (can be changed to bacon, smoked salmon etc.)
  • 1 Tbsp. Robinsons Veggie Seasoning.
  • Chunky Cottage Cheese

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 200ĀŗC. Then combine the flour and FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart OatsĀ®Ā with the baking powder and salt.
  2. Then add in the butter and mix it into the flour mixture using your hands. You should end up with a slightly more crumbly, but still floury consistency.
  3. Next whisk the egg and combine it with your milk. Then gradually mix this in with your butter and flour mixture using a flat bladed knife or a pastry blender. Make sure not to over work your dough. Mix in your Chopped Ham and Veggie Seasoning.
  4. Scoop dough into a muffin tray. Scoop 1 tsp of Cottage Cheese into a little well made with your finger into each muffin. Sprinkle with Veggie Seasoning.
  5. Brush the top with a bit of milk with a pastry brush, pop them into the oven and leave them to bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 3 – 4 slices FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart Breadā„¢
  • 8 eggs
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 3 – 4 slices deli ham
  • 2 teaspoons ground mustard
  • Ā½ teaspoon ground pepper
  • Dried parsley

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200Ā°C. Grease muffin tins well.
  2. Tear the bread into small pieces and place FUTURELIFEĀ®Ā Smart Breadā„¢Ā pieces evenly in muffin tins until they come about ā…” of the way up the tin.
  3. Sprinkle ham pieces and grated cheese evenly in each tin.
  4. Whisk together eggs, milk, ground mustard, and pepper.
  5. Pour egg mixture evenly in each muffin tin.
  6. Sprinkle a little dried Parsley on the top of each one.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top and cooked through the middle.

Ingredients

  • 50 g FUTURELIFEĀ® Smart OatsĀ®
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Yoghurt
  • Berries
  • 1 Tbsp. Chia seeds

Method

  1. Add your FUTURELIFEĀ® Smart OatsĀ® and milk to a bowl and mix well.
  2. Pour half mixture in a jar, spoon over some slices up fresh berries.
  3. Pour over remainder of oats mixture.
  4. Place in fridge overnight.
  5. In the morning top with yoghurt, chia seeds and sliced berries.

FUTURELIFEĀ® HIGH PROTEIN Smart foodā„¢ MUFFINS

Ingredients

  • 200ml (4/5 cup) FUTURELIFEĀ®HIGH PROTEIN Smart foodā„¢
  • 250ml (1 cup) whole wheat flour
  • 5ml (1 tsp) salt
  • 20ml (4 tsp) baking powder
  • 15ml (1 Tbsp.) sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 60ml (4 Tbsp.) butter/margarine/coconut oil
  • 250ml (1 cup) low fat milk
  • 1 tsp of low sugar low salt peanut butter for each muffinā€™s centre

*Optional: Grate 1 cup carrot or apples and a few Tbsp. of seeds to the wet ingredients.

Method

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200Ā°C and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients together.
  3. Whisk egg. Add the butter/margarine/coconut oil and milk to the beaten egg and whisk until combined.
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredient and fold together until just combined.
  5. Spoon equal amounts of batter into greased muffin tin. Spoon a teaspoon of peanut butter into each centre of the muffins.
  6. Bake for 15 ā€“ 20 minutes.
  7. Freeze in an airtight bag or enjoy fresh.

* Make a batch and freeze. To defrost leave to thaw at room temperature.
