Welcome to Diabetes Focus’ first-ever recipe book.
With a passion for food and health, being a registered dietitian and helping people achieve their health goals is the best of both worlds. I live out my passion while helping others become the healthiest version of themselves and make a difference in the world, one person at a time.
I regularly consult with people that think eating healthy is impossible, boring and expensive. But by making just a few diet or lifestyle changes, it can make a massive difference in your health and well-being.
I’m a firm believer of moderation in everything and that living a balanced lifestyle can help you achieve and maintain health. This is also true for people living with diabetes; by making the right changes, you can turn your health around.
Challenging myself, growing as a person and cooking healthy food is important to me. That’s why I grabbed the opportunity to assist in developing AtoZ of Diabetes Local Flavours Recipe Book which consists of healthy, diabetic-friendly South African recipes.
Our hope is that you will try different cooking skills and learn new flavours to showcase that eating healthy doesn’t have to be bland or boring. It can be scrumptiously delicious!
Have fun trying out these recipes and tell us which one is your favourite.
Happy Cooking!
