Blood glucose

The main sugar that the body makes from the food we eat is known as blood glucose or blood sugar. 

Blood glucose is carried through the bloodstream to provide energy to all cells in the body. Cells can’t use glucose without the help of the hormone insulin that is made in your pancreas.
